Charanjit Ahuja, Legendary Punjabi Music Composer Dies; CM Bhagwant Mann, Diljit Dosanjh Express Grief
Famous Punjabi music composer Charanjit Ahuja passed away on Sunday evening (September 22) at his Mohali residence. He was 74 and had been battling throat cancer for many years. He was getting treatment
at PGI Chandigarh. Charanjit Ahuja’s demise has indeed left many people in shock. Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh have expressed grief over the demise of Charanjit Ahuja.
Charanjit Ahuja is no more
The Chief Minister of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann, took to his X handle to mourn the demise of Charanjit Ahuja. He wrote, “The passing away of Charanjit Ahuja is an irreparable loss to the Punjabi music industry. His compositions will forever reign in the hearts of Punjabis. My condolences to Sachin Ahuja, his family, and his fans.” (sic)
Diljit Dosanjh also shared a picture of a legendary Punjabi music composer on his Instagram story. He wrote his note in Punjabi. Diljit said, "Music di growth lai jina kam Charanjit Ahuja ji ne kita shaid hee kiskey de hissey Auna... Ona walon create kita music sadey naal hai te hamesha rahega. A True Legend."
Let us tell you, Charanjit Ahuja’s funeral will be held on September 22 at Balongi crematorium in Mohali. He is survived by his wife, Sangeeta Ahuja and his three sons, who are associated with the music industry. His son, Sachin Ahuja, is a well-known Punjabi music producer.

Charanjit Ahuja and his body of work will always be remembered by his fans and the people from the Punjabi film industry. May his soul rest in peace!
