Sangeeta Bijlani Opens Up About Robbery At Her Pune Home: Feel Very Unsafe As Woman Living Alone

actress and former Miss India, Sangeeta Bijlani, has opened up about the burglary at her Pune residence earlier this year, expressing ongoing fear and unease in the aftermath. Speaking at an award ceremony in Pune on Saturday, Bijlani revealed that she personally met with Pune Superintendent of Police Sandeep Singh Gill to urge a quicker resolution to the case.

As per a report in IANS, Sangeeta spoke to the media about the robbery at her house in Pavana and,“I came to Pune specifically to meet SP Sandeep Singh Gill and request him to speed up the investigation. I feel very unsafe as a woman in my own home, a place I’ve lived in for the past 20 years,” she said.According to police reports, the burglary occurred at Bijlani’s bungalow in the Pawandharan area of Pune’s Tikona Peth. The intruders reportedly entered from the rear side and stole ₹50,000 in cash along with a television set worth ₹7,000, totaling a loss of ₹57,000.

The case was registered at the Lonavala Rural Police Station. The complaint was filed by a private employee working for Bijlani. The bungalow had been unoccupied for four months, and the theft was discovered on July 18, 2025, when Bijlani visited the property around 9:30 AM.
