Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s mythical love story, Thamma. They join the Stree Universe with an eternal tale of love and sacrifice. It is the fifth film after Stree, Bhediya, Munjya and Stree 2
and paves the path for the upcoming movies. As the trailer of Thamma promised, the film has many cameos. Connecting movies of the horror comedy universe, the vampire love story has interesting subplots and a twist. Let’s decode the end of Thamma and how it could influence the plot of Bhediya 2. Spoilers AlertThamma is about Alok Goyal (Ayushmann Khurrana), a meek journalist who pretends to be a braveheart. He is stranded in a jungle where Tadaka (Rashmika Mandanna) rescues him from a werewolf and bloodthirsty ‘Betaals’. However, they’re not allowed to feast on human blood. The Thama of the Betaal sect, Yakshasan (Nawazuddin Siddiqui), is held captive in a cursed cave for violating an important rule.

He takes her along despite initial refusals. There’s an enigma around her. This leaves Alok’s father (Paresh Rawal) suspicious. Tadaka becomes Tarika for Alok’s parents, and she struggles to find food. Alok decides to take her out for dinner, where she can enjoy non-vegetarian food. At the party, Tadapa spots liquor that resembles blood. She dances with unknown men. Alok notices her behaviour and takes her back home. On their way, a group of men, who were also at the party, chase Tadaka. Alok gets out of the car and attempts to solve the matter. When he is unable to, Tadaka lets go of her inhibitions and transforms into a ‘Betaal’. Days later, a senior police officer visits Alok’s residence. He happens to be a member of the Betaal sect. It is revealed that Tadaka’s clan members have killed those men, but she has to face the repercussions. For Alok’s safety, Tadaka decides to return to her land.Alok follows her bus. Just when he is about to reunite with Tadaka, an accident kills him. She saves his life by injecting her powers into his blood, making him a Betaal too. Yakshasan is rejoicing as he will be free from the cave.
On the other hand, Alok’s father notices his vampire-like teeth. When the truth is revealed to him, he refuses to accept it and takes his son to Prabhakar (Sathyaraj), who was previously seen in Munjya. Jana (Abhishek Banerjee) is also with Prabhakar, seeking help for his friend Bhaskar (Bhediya, Varun Dhawan), who was severely injured during a fight with Sarkata in Stree 2. Prabhakar says Bhaskar can be cured with the blood of a Betaal. Alok’s face-off with Bhediya introduces a new conflict in the universe. Yakshasan’s men are chasing Tadaka to punish her for breaking the sect’s rule. Alok finds his way to the land of the Betaals. Yakshasan and Alok engage in a severe fight. The latter loses the battle. However, a miracle brings him back to life. Alok has the beating heart of the sect’s deity. He defeats Yakshasan and becomes the new Thama. Yakshasan is back in the cave. Sarkata, the headless monster from Stree 2, appears to free him. Alok, Tadaka and other heads of the sect gear up to hunt Yakshasan. That’s when Alok is informed that he would need extra powers to fight him and the blood of a werewolf can only do that. He vanishes into thin air to search for Bhediya.Thamma sets the base for Bhediya 2, which releases in August 2026. Chamunda and Shakti Shalini are also scheduled to release next year.
