US-based tech giant Meta is adding yet another twist to its AI push. On Thursday (September 25), the company introduced a brand-new feed in its Meta AI app called “Vibes”, a space dedicated to AI-generated
short videos. The idea is simple: let users experiment, remix, and share quirky little clips built with Meta’s AI tools. And yes, these videos can be shared on Vibes itself, sent privately to friends, or even cross-posted to Instagram and Facebook. What Exactly Is Vibes?Think of Vibes as a creative playground. Meta says the feature is meant to spark inspiration and encourage people to try out its growing set of AI-powered media tools. When you open the feed, you’ll find a mix of AI-generated videos made by other users, creators, and communities. Over time, the feed will start tailoring itself to your scrolling habits. The creation process is flexible, users can start fresh or pick an existing video to remix. From there, you can tweak visuals, layer in music, or switch up the style until it feels right. Meta even shared a few examples on its official blog, showing how quickly these clips can be transformed. Once a video is ready, you don’t have to keep it locked in the app. Vibes makes it easy to post clips directly to its feed, send them as a DM, or share them as an Instagram Story or Facebook Reel. And if you come across an AI-generated video on Instagram, you can tap it and jump straight into remixing mode in the Meta AI app.ALSO READ: Sam Altman's OpenAI Brings New Feature 'Pulse' for ChatGPT, Here's How It WorksWhat’s Next For Vibes?Meta says this is just the beginning. The company is collaborating with visual artists and creators to expand the toolkit and make the system even more powerful. Vibes, for now, is rolling out as an early preview and will reach more users gradually. The launch also ties into Meta’s broader AI ambitions, as the app continues to serve as the central hub for everything from video tools to integrations with its smart glasses powered by the Meta AI assistant.
