Vishnu Vishal opens up about lack of support from industry
During the pre-release event of his upcoming film Aaryan, Vishnu Vishal said, "I was talking about not being recognized in the industry. I am not happy with that. I have been working for one or two years each to get all my projects greenlit. In my film Gatta Kusthi, we had six producers turn us down at the last minute. For Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran, 4 producers changed, and for ‘FIR: Faizal Ibrahim Raiz’, we had 3 producers who backed out. 9 films that were committed to me post the success of Ratsasan were dropped."ALSO READ: Kamal Haasan Extends Support To Actor Nithin Ram For His Play The Motherf**ker with the Hat He further went on to say, "I was just trying to say that I don’t deserve all this as a person. I have that pain and sadness within me. Even after giving hits like Gatta Kusthi and FIR, I had to wait three years for my next film from outside. That is why I started my own production house. Once I took over production, it just took me one year to release this movie and come back on screen."But, the actor was quick to mention that he has no beef with anybody explaining that, "I want to add that I don’t have this complaint against any one person. This is my general feeling. Once my film releases and becomes a success, I have noticed that none of the actors whom I admire have called even once to wish me in person. Once the films become successful, they will call my director, but not speak with me at all. They will set up meetings with my directors for their next films, but I will not get any such calls. These are the kind of things that bother me.”
