‘72 Hours At Work, ONLY 16 At Home’: Wife’s Rant About Husband's 'Poor Work-Life Balance' Goes Viral
India’s normalisation of ‘poor work-life balance’ is back in the debate- after a rather questionable clip began to float online. The video-in-question showed a frustrated wife complaining and ranting to her husband
about his longer working hours. As seen in the clip, the husband had seemingly just returned home after allegedly working for “72 hours”. Breaking into a rant, the wife was seen shouting over how her husband only spends “16 hours” at home. She further spoke on how she stays at home and manages the house alone, while her husband works. The man, on the other hand, looked tired and hardly in the mood to respond. By the looks of it, he had just returned home as he was still in formal attire and was removing his ID card. The post was quick to go viral, leaving the internet divided. Some questioned the woman’s approach to the matter, while the rest advocated for her, pointing out that there was nothing wrong for a wife to expect her husband to spend time with her. Most netizens blamed ‘weak Labour Laws’ in India, along with a normalised ‘poor work-life balance’. Times Now could not confirm the details and the authenticity of the post.

This is where we shouldn’t criticize either the man or the woman but long working hours,” a user said. “She just wants some time with her husband. How is she wrong?” asked another. “She isn't wrong but her tone of saying and timing is wrong. She could have said this later with a soft tone. He looks tired already. Feeling bad for both,” commented another person. “He just wants to spend time with her husband.
