The
70th Hyundai Filmfare Awards 2025’s mega event was held on October 11 at EKA Arena, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. Laapataa Ladies turned out to be the biggest winner of the night by sweeping 13 awards, including Best Film, Best Director and so on. Filmfare also introduced Cine Icon Awards to honour people from each decade for their outstanding contribution to Indian cinema. Karan Johar was honoured with the Cine Icon award for his contribution in the 90s, along with Kajol and Shah Rukh Khan.
