Malhotra recently garnered praise for his performance in Raaghav Dar's web series, Andhera. The actor essayed the role of Jay Seth in the supernatural horror thriller show. Days after Andhera premiered on Amazon Prime Video, Karanvir exclusively interacted with Zoom. In conversation with us, Karanvir opened up about the most challenging scene in the series. The actor recalled overcoming his 'fear of heights' during the shoot.

Karanvir Malhotra on Andhera scene, fear of heights

In a candid chat with us, Karanvir shared, "I think, for me personally, the most overwhelming thing is I have a fear of heights. And there was one sequence in which I was suspended in the air, where I can see the eye of the darkness. That was actually shot on a real building. So, that shot wasn't taken in a studio. It was actually a building that was eight or nine storeys tall."

The actor mentioned that there was an option to use a body double. "But the thing is that obviously, you can't use the face then. It would have been a backshot," he added. The actor then told director Raaghav that he would be able to pull off the scene. Aisa nahi tha ki there's ground underneath. So they put me a little over the ledge because there's nothing. I couldn't see anything beneath me. It was literally dark. And they just told me that, just look in front, if you look down, you'll feel really scared."

Karanvir Malhotra on overcoming fear of heights

As the conversation continued, Karanvir revealed that it was most challenging scene because it took time and had different takes and angles. "It went overnight, five to six hours of shoot and I was suspended in the air. But it was the most challenging thing because I was personally also overcoming my fear of heights. And at the same time, I had to act."Meanwhile, on the work front, Karanvir will reportedly be seen in Shah Rukh Khan and Suhana Khan's King.
