STR-Vetrimaaran Film Trailer: Producer Kalaippuli S Thanu DROPS Update About New Film In Vada Chennai Universe

A month ago, the makers of STR 49 released the film's first glimpse starring Silambarasan TR in the lead. The film is making the right buzz as it is part of Vetrimaaran's acclaimed Vada Chennai universe.

Now, the film's producer Kalaippuli S Thanu has shared an interesting update about it.

Kalaippuli S Thanu of V Creations revealed that the film's trailer will be out soon very soon on social media and in theatres at the same time. "Once the censorship formalities are over, the trailer will be out soon," the producer wrote. This is a special moment for us to express our gratitude to the fans for the trust and love they have placed in the Silambarasan-Vetri Maaran collaboration. Get ready for the celebration," the producer's statement read.

Vetri Maaran recently revealed that STR 49 it would be part of his Vada Chennai universe. In a recent interview, he also disclosed that the film would make use of the screenplay he originally wrote for Vada Chennai. He wrote the script initially with Silambarasan keeping STR in mind, but he had to change it to make it suitable for Dhanush. "Most of what you saw in Vada Chennai did not have what I wrote initially when I wanted to cast Simbu. But when that did not take off and Dhanush came in, I had to rewrite it. So, STR 49 will retain what the original script of Vada Chennai had. There are common characters in STR 49 and Vada Chennai, who step in and out of both worlds. But the film will not feature Dhanush's Anbu." said the director. STR 49 will feature its returning cast members Andrea Jeremiah, Samuthirakani and Kishore adding depth to the narrative.The ensemble cast also boasts new additions, including director Nelson Dilipkumar in a cameo, with Kavin and Manikandan in key roles.
