According to recent report, Ranveer and Jai Mehta have tentatively finalised the title for this post-apocalyptic thriller as - Pralay.

The title Pralay, meaning “cataclysm” or “apocalypse”, resonates with the film’s narrative, which is set in a world devastated by a sudden disaster that is both natural and man-made. A report in Pinkvilla quoted a source close to the project saying, “Ranveer Singh’s next venture, tentatively titled Pralay, is an intense emotional journey set against a backdrop of chaos and destruction. The source also revealed that Ranveer is highly enthusiastic about the script and is engaging in detailed discussions with Jai Mehta and the writing team daily to shape the story and its characters. Shooting is expected to begin in the second half of 2026, once Ranveer completes his commitments for Don 3. Given the ambitious scope of the film, pre-production is expected to be a lengthy process, as the makers aim to build an entirely new cinematic world from scratch. The tone and scale are said to be inspired by internationally acclaimed films like World War Z and I Am Legend, where the protagonist battles various threats while striving to keep his family safe.In addition to Ranveer Singh, the production team is reportedly in the hunt for a top-tier A-list actress to play the female lead.
