Sparklers- more popular by the name ‘Fuljhadi’- might look aesthetic, especially during Diwali and other festivities, but the process of making these ‘pleasing-looking’ crackers is not exactly pleasing- or so
is what most netizens were left feeling. A video was recently shared online, which showed some people making ‘Fuljhadi’. The clip covered all the processes a ‘Fuljhadi’ goes through before becoming the sparkling stick that burns like ‘magic’. However, as soon as the post was shared online, most netizens were left concerned instead. People were quick to point out how the process lacked safety measures and how the workers were hardly using any safety equipment. Many also questioned the video’s background music, saying ‘pleasant music’ cannot make the clip ‘positive’. Many also commented on how such work- lacking basic safety- should not be glorified in the name of festivals.India is currently celebrating one of its most hailed festivals- Diwali. Apart from being the festival of lights and joy, many also associate it with firecrackers. For some parts of the country, Diwali was on October 20, while for others, it will be celebrated today- October 21. Times Now could not confirm the authenticity of the post.
