As per court reports viewed by PEOPLE, Justin Baldoni has hired Sean 'Diddy' Combs lawyer into the legal fight against co-star Blake Lively. He has filed a notice of appearance last week, formally stating that Alexandra Shapiro, a prominent New York-based criminal defense attorney, has joined his team. Lively sued Baldoni last December, alleging sexual harassment. In response, Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios, countersued Lively and her husband, Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds, accusing them of defamation and extortion. However, a judge dismissed Baldoni’s claims in June 2025. Following the dismissal of the countersuit, attorney Bryan Freedman stated that Lively’s allegations of being sexually harassed on set—and subsequently subjected to a secret smear campaign intended to damage her reputation—were “no truer today than they were yesterday.”
