going to be an absolute blast from the past for Reply 1988 fans. On the classic K-drama's 10th anniversary, its cast is set to jet off to Gangwon Province on October 12 and 13. PD Na Young Seok and the production unit of his show Egg Is Coming will also accompany the Korean show's team to film the retreat as a variety program.

On September, MyDaily reported that more than 10 cast members of tvN fan-favourite who will go on a 1-night, 2-day retreat. While most of the core members are said to be joining, fans are curious about Lee Hyeri and Ryu Jun-Yeol's presence. The two actors were part of the main leads, and dated after the show for several years until ending it on a not very pleasant note in 2023. They have not seen eye-to-eye ever since, and now it remains a mystery whether they'd make it to the retreat.

Hyeri, Ryu Jun-Yeol's presence sparks curiosity

As per Korean media, while Hyeri's agency confirmed that she will attend the trip with the cast. Ryu, however will give it a miss. The actor's representative to OSEN that the reunion date is clasing with his filming schedule for his upcoming K-drama, The Rat.Fans of the show have ever since been talking about the former couple. A user wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "Take a note you guys it is better to not date someone from our circle cause." Another one said, "Cmon bro. Man up. Show up. Hyeri’s had to show up even when I’m sure she didn’t feel like it."

Several Hyeri fans took a jibe. One post read, "well we love hyeri more so do whatever you want bro." A second fan posted, "Thanks. Stay where you are, don’t bother showing up to my girl." A fan of Ryu gave it back. They wrote, "You dont need to be at the same room with a toxic ex gf whose acting is better in real life pretending to be victim, then her acting on screen lol. Shes now collecting all evident that shes not cheating on you first lol."However, many wrote emotional posts expressing their love for the show. A fan said, "We want the series again film it again." A post read, "I'll miss them so much. The characters are so well written that it feels like that you're part of that loud and lovely neighbourhood. I'll always keep them very close to my heart, them, their bond, their families' friendship and their alley."
