His friend Jackie Shroff, who attended the event, praised Grover for his resilience. "He is a great and strong guy... He has faced numerous hardships to get where he is today," said Shroff. He also shared a heartfelt sentiment about Grover’s character, saying, "You (Gulshan) are a bad man in the book, but you have the heart of a good man."

Suniel Shetty on Gulshan Grover's numerous films
Sunil Shetty, who has worked alongside Grover in numerous films, also spoke warmly of the actor, stating that it would take not one, but at least "400 books" to truly understand the man behind the iconic villainous roles, beyond just his acting career.With a career spanning four decades, Grover has appeared in over 400 films, including international projects. Shetty added, "They say ‘friends are the family you choose,’ and we chose Gulshan. He’s family. He’s always been there, through good, bad, or ugly. He is loyal and always stands by you.""He calls himself ‘bad man,’ but I don’t think anyone in the industry believes he has even a tiny bit of that in him," Shetty continued, reflecting the affection and respect Grover commands within the industry.

Grover, who is known for being low-key, did not speak much during the event. However, when asked by actress Mahima Chaudhry about the highlight of his life, the 63-year-old actor quickly responded, “Time spent with my son, Sanjay.” One of the proudest moments of Grover’s life, he shared, was when his son secured a prestigious position at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer’s Motion Pictures Group as the Director of Special Projects.
