"It is with much respect and deep care for each other that Monica Bellucci and Tim Burton have decided to part ways," the statement to AFP on Friday, September 19 read.The 67-year-old director and the 60-year-old Italian actress and model first crossed paths in 2006 at the Cannes Film Festival, though it was only a brief meeting since both were involved in long-term relationships at the time. Their paths converged again in 2022 when Bellucci presented Burton with a Lumière Award at the Lumière Festival in Lyon, France. The event sparked a reconnection that blossomed into romance.Soon after, the pair were spotted together in Madrid, walking arm-in-arm and fuelling dating rumours. They went public with their relationship a year later, making a joint appearance at the Rome Film Festival in October 2023, where fans and media celebrated their red-carpet debut as a couple.
