The Golden Disc Awards announced its Golden Disc Powerhouse 40 list that includes 40 influential figures, honouring their legacy and the indelible mark they've left in the Korean music scene. The 2025

list picks artists like Bang Si Hyuk, Seo Taiji, Girls' Generation, Shin Seung Hun, PSY, IU and many others. BTS, that is gearing up for its comeback in the K-pop scene, along with Blackpink and BIGBANG which are also speculated to lanch a new album, have also been honoured. The honouries were selected by 50 industry professionals which included renowned producers, composers, lyricists, and other music experts.
