Dude, directed by debutant Keerthishwaran, starring Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju in the lead is all set to release on October 17, coinciding with Diwali. Ahead of the release, the film's lead actor
Pradeep Ranganathan found himself under the spotlight after a reporter said she doesn't find him to be 'hero material'. Following this, a reporter of a Telugu Youtube channel asked Pradeep Ranganathan, how he feels when he is asked such questions.
"I've Been Used To Being Body Shamed Since..." Says Dude Actor Pradeep Ranganathan
Responding to the host, Pradeep Ranganathan said "I honestly don't feel bad when I am asked such questions...I will tell you why...because I have been hearing this since childhood...kids say...I look think, dark....even during Love Today, I was bullied on stage. If you buy a new shirt and it gets stained for the first time, you'll feel bad but my shirt is full of stains. " After his response, the reporter said "I can see the pain in your eyes." To which Pradeep Ranganathan said "Its fine sir...now even common people are heroes...they see themselves in me."
A few days ago a reporter asked Pradeep Ranganathan "You don't look like you are hero material. But you seem to have a big fan following for someone who has done a few films. It happens very rarely. So, would you attribute it to hard work or luck?"Replying to the journalist before Pradeep Ranganathan, was his Dude co-star veteran actor, Sarath Kumar. He intervened to say, "You cannot say from A to Z who is hero material. Everybody here is hero material. You don't have any specification for a hero. A person who is doing any act which is going to be benefitting the society is a hero."
