Dosanjh has been nominated for his portrayal of the legendary Punjabi singer Chamkila in the Netflix biographical drama Amar Singh Chamkila, directed by Imtiaz Ali, co-starring Parineeti Chopra. Diljit’s performance has been widely praised for bringing Chamkila’s charisma and complexity to life and a nomination in the Emmys is definitely another feather in his cap. Diljit is nominated alongside actors like David Mitchell, Oriol Pla and Diego Vasquez, making the category one of the most anticipated to watch.
