It was indeed a proud moment for the entire Malayalam cinema, as he has become the second Malayalam actor to be honoured with a prestigious award after filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan. Kamal Haasan recently took to X and congratulated his ‘dear friend Lalettan’ on his Dadasaheb Phalke Award win.

Kamal Haasan shared a picture of Mohanlal receiving the greatest honour in Indian cinema at the 71st National Film Awards in his X post. The actor penned a sweet note while congratulating the Malayalam actor. Kamal Haasan wrote, “Delighted to see my dear friend Lalettan @Mohanlal honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
