Recently, Rashmika was criticised on social media for not giving a shoutout to Rishab Shetty’s blockbuster Kannada movie, Kantara Chapter 1. Reacting to it, the actress told the media in Karnataka, “See, the thing is… I didn’t see the film in the first 2–3 days since its release. I didn’t see it right then, but I recently watched it and even texted the team. When asked about the rumoured ban from Sandalwood, Rashmika said, “So far, I have not been banned. So, yeah…”Meanwhile, it's been reported that that Rashmika got engaged to Vijay Deverakonda around Dussehra festivities. They will apparently tie the knot in February 2026. Workwise, Rashmika’s next film is Thamma with Ayushmann Khurrana. Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, it will release in theatres on October 21.
