Shetty mentions it as the ‘ram baan,’ aka, the best weapon against mental fatigue and chronic stress. She also credits this practice for helping her find and maintain the balance in her busy lifestyle while providing mental clarity and keeping her emotionally calm. According to her, this method is also highly effective in reducing anxiety, regulating blood flow and keeping your thoughts in order. Here is how to do it the right way:- Find a comfortable seat around yourself. It can be a yoga mat or directly on the floor. The key is to keep your spine straight and relaxed.
- Close your eyes slowly and take in a few deep breaths.
- Now, place your index fingers on the forehead as you close your eyes with your other fingers. Rest your thumbs around your ear.
- Breathe in slowly and deeply through your nose.
- As you exhale gently, make a humming sound, similar to what a bee makes when it buzzes. Maintain this sound steady and gently.
- Pay attention and listen to the vibration happening inside your head and your chest.
