Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna’s Thamma is the latest chapter of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe. A love story set against the backdrop of Indian folklore and myth, a vampire joins Stree (Shraddha Kapoor), Bhediya (Varun Dhawan) and Munjya (Abhay Verma) for another exciting adventure. The trailer of Thamma teased a deadly conflict between a werewolf and the vampire. Netizens anticipated Varun’s return as ‘bhediya’. But is it really that simple?

Thamma’s writer, Niren Bhatt, who has also worked on Stree 2 and been an instrumental member of the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe’s writing department, teased an exciting development. Talking to Zoom, he confirmed that all characters from the universe will unite later. Without giving out spoilers, Bhatt told us, “In Thamma, we have a huge werewolf. Now, whether it is Varun Dhawan or Kriti Sanon, we will get to know in the film. In Bhediya, we showed Bhaskar as a normal wolf. The version in Thamma is more muscular and bigger.
