'I Am Moving To...': Ashwini Vaishnaw Ditches Foreign Apps, Joins THIS Indigenous Platform
Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for IT, Railways and Information and Broadcasting, announced his decision to ditch foreign applications and move to the indigenous platform 'Zoho'. Urging everyone to opt
for 'Swadeshi' products and services, Vaishnaw said that he is shifting to Zoho, the homegrown platform for documents, spreadsheets and presentations. Vaishnaw also exhorted others to join Prime Minister Narendra Modi's clarion call for Swadeshi, and adopt indigenous products and services.In a post on X, Vaishnaw said, "I am moving to Zoho - our own Swadeshi platform for documents, spreadsheets and presentations. I urge all to join PM Shri Narendra Modi ji's call for Swadeshi by adopting indigenous products & services."
Responding to the post, Zoho Founder Sridhar Vembu thanked Vaishnaw and said, "This is a huge morale boost for our engineers who have worked hard for over two decades to build our product suite. We will make you proud and make our nation proud."PM Modi has called upon Indians to buy Swadeshi products this festive season. In an open letter, PM Modi said, "On a related note, this festive season, let us also resolve to support products that are Made in India. This means buying Swadeshi products that have the sweat and toil of an Indian involved in their making, irrespective of the brand or the company that makes them."
He also appealed to shopkeepers and traders to sell products that are Made in India. "Let us proudly say - what we buy is Swadeshi. Let us proudly say - what we sell is Swadeshi," the prime minister said.The header photo on PM Modi's X handle was also changed to highlight his thrust on swadeshi amid what he has described as "GST Bachat Utsav". Besides the "GST Bachat Utsav", the picture includes the slogan "har ghar swadeshi, ghar ghar swadeshi".
