The issues related to Sora are not taking a backfoot anytime soon. From in-app mishaps to outer world controversies, Sora is surrounded by everything. Now, the latest in the line is a plethora of fake
Sora apps that have reached the Apple App Store. According to a report shared by TechCrunch, the App Store is filled with spoof Sora apps that want to do nothing but just want to use the hype of Sora to milk some money from users or grab their data. As for the achievements of Sora, the app has already crossed one million downloads on the Apple App Store. This makes Sora's craze even heavier than what we got to see in the case of ChatGPT. This is a major reason why other fake apps have popped up on the store, because a naive user can be easily manipulated into downloading one of the fake applications. As per the figures we got to see from Appfigures, the Apple App Store has more than 12 fake apps running in the name of Sora and Sora 2. And yes, the trend is so disturbing that some of these apps are nothing but just a cheap rebranding of old apps that were not performing that good on the Apple App Store and were unable to capture an audience.
