Vikrant Massey received his first National Film Award for Best Actor for 12th Fail. While he shared the big honour with Shah Rukh Khan (Jawan), Rani Mukerji picked the same for Best Actress for Mrs. Chatterjee
vs Norway. The ceremony was held at in Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, with President Droupadi Murmu presenting the awards. Talking to Times Now Group Editor-in-Chief Navika Kumar, Vikrant revealed his state of mind in those few seconds, when he walked on stage from his seat to receive the award.
Vikrant on what goes in mind in those '30 seconds'
Vikrant got candid and shared exclusively with us, "We have rehearsals a day before. I went for that dry run. When you're there, you hardly get 30 seconds. Since the President is there, we have protocols to follow. Mind is in autopilot mode then. Nothing crosses your mind. Of course, it's a dream come true but all these emotions can wait. In those 30 seconds, you form a queue, there's a list and you abide by it. You don't want to make a fool of yourself there, and you have to follow that protocol. My only focus was to do what they've told me to. I can sink into this feeling later."

Viral video of wearing medals
Amid several videos that surfaced from the event, candid and formal, one clip went viral that showed Vikrant, along with Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji taking out their medals and wearing them. In one moment, SRK was seen struggling to detangle the ribbon as Rani helped him. Vikrant reacted to the moment and said, "Once we were done with all of that, and we got down, Shah Rukh sir said I want to wear my medal. Rani ma'am and I said even we want to. So he said then let's wear it! Then we took it out. We wanted to touch it to feel it, because it was really special for all of us, as it was seen in that video. It was the first National Award for all three of us. Then we just wore it and got those pictures clicked.""Shah Rukh sir and Rani ma'am still retain that child-like enthusiasm within them even after such tremendous conventional success. For more than 30 years, they've been acting. So, it's good to see that excitement," he added.ALSO READ: Vikrant Massey Shares Anecdotes From 'Bollywood Detox' Era, Talks About How Life Changed After Success | Exclusive
