Funky: Kayadu Lohar Returns To Telugu Cinema With Vishwak Sen, KV Anupdeep's Comedy Drama

Kayadu Lohar, who made her Telugu film debut the 2022 film Alluri, is now back to Tollywood, with Funky. Starring Vishwak Sen in the lead, the comedy drama is directed by KV Anudeep of Jathi Ratnalu fame.

The makers have released the film's teaser on social media, piquing the curiosity of fans. The first teaser is filled with funny one-lines and chaos in KV Anudeep's trademark style. The teaser reveals details of the fun story through a series of rapid, funny exchanges between its chaotic and characters. The teaser features in a line in the visuals which reads “A film with no part 2” a cheeky jab at the current trend of sequels. Kayadu Lohar will be seen playing Chitra in the film. Taking to their Twitter page, the film’s production banner Sithara Entertainments posted, “Adding more sparkle to the world of Funky. Welcome aboard the beautiful Kayadu Lohar as CHITRA.”

In a recent interview, Kayadu spoke about Funky. She said “The film is an out and out comedy. Most of the dialogues are conceived and written right on the shooting spot. Every five minutes, there will be an extremely hilarious scene." Kayadu Lohar who made her debut with the 2021 Kannada film Mugilpete, shot to fame with Pradeep Ranganathan starrer which released in February this year. She is reportedly also a part of Nani's The Paradise.

Sithara Entertainments is producing the film in collaboration with Fortune Four Entertainments. Meanwhile, Srikara Studios is the presenter. Anudeep shares writing credits with Mohan Sato, Bheems Cecicoleo is the music director for the film. Navin Nooli is the editor. Suresh Sarangam, who worked in Mathu Vadalara franchise, is the cinematographer. Funky also marks second collaboration between V+ishwak Sen and producer Naga Vamsi, after the 2024 film Gangs of Godavari.
