OpenAI has been experimenting with new features and abilities for ChatGPT to make the end users' experience better regularly. Now, the ChatGPT maker has introduced a new Pulse feature for GPT that offers daily personalized updates based on connected applications, chats, and user interests. As of now, the tool is only available for the Pro-tier subscribers of ChatGPT. The announcement for the same came through Sam Altman via X, where he dubbed Pulse his favourite feature of ChatGPT so far. According to him, Pulse works overnight on curating information from recent conversations of the users, linked data, and sets preferences to provide a customized set of updates every morning. Altman further said, "Think of treating ChatGPT like a super-competent
personal assistant."
How Pulse Feature Works On ChatGPT?
As per the official OpenAI Blog, Pulse performs asynchronous research from the user's side. Every night, it analyzes memory, chat history, and feedback, then the tool generates visual cards containing personalized suggestions for the next day. These may comprise follow-ups on frequently discussed topics, progress steps for long-term plans, dinner ideas, and a lot more. All the users can guide Pulse by tapping on the 'curate' button to request specific updates for things as particular as a particular day's event round up or sports updates. The tool also has a Quick feedback option that can e used to improve the results provided by the same.

Once connected, ChatGPT can suggest birthday gifts, draft meetings, and even help you with restaurant recommendation on an upcoming trip.On a concluding note, it has already been confirmed by OpenAI that the Pulse tool on ChatGPT is in its early stages and can provide irrelevant suggestions in some instances, despite being trained for safety checks and avoiding all policy-violating or harmful content. And yes, the updates are only visible for one day and then disappear if the user doesn't save them.
