SEVENTEEN's
newly launched subunit CxM has done what many couldn't for more than a decade. The unit consisting of S.Coups and Mingyu, has broken a 13-year record on the Billboard 200. CxM marked its debut on Billboard's Top 200 Albums chart with the EP, CxM: 1st Mini Album Hype Vibes. The listing ranks the most popular albums in the United States, and the latest feat is for the week ending on October 25, where Hype Vibes entered the Billboard 200 at No. 71, with 13,000 equivalent album units, following its physical release October 10.

Billboard announced the charting on October 21. This puts CxM to the pedestal of the highest ranking of any K-pop subunit in Billboard 200 history. The record has so far remained unbeaten for over 13 years by Girls' Generation–TTS's Twinkle, which peaked at No. 126 in 2012. Carats and CxM fans were ecstatic. After a lot of speculation, S.Coups and Mingyu officially teamed up to launch their new unit project titled CxM with their first mini album Hype Vibes on September 29 this year. The album debuted at No. 2 on Billboard's World Albums chart. It even grabbed the No. 5 spot on both the Top Album Sales chart and the Top Current Album Sales chart, becoming the fifth best-selling album of the week in the United States.
