Marathe passed away due to cancer. She had been battling with the deadly disease for many years. Sadly, the Pavitra Rishta actress breathed her last on August 31, 2025. After her demise, her husband, Shantanu Moghe, didn’t share his statement for a long time. But now, after a month of Priya Marathe’s demise, Shantanu has penned a gratitude note as the first post after his wife’s demise.

Shantanu Moghe shared a bunch of pictures with his late wife, Priya Marathe, on Instagram. He penned an emotional gratitude note. In the note, Shantanu thanked the fans for sending support and condolences during a difficult phase of his life. Shantanu Moghe wrote, “This is a very special Gratitude post🙏🙏 for all those who chose different communication platforms like Calls, e-mails ,Watsapps, X, Instagram, Facebook n d likes ,to express their love and blessings towards the Numero Uno Priya Marathe❤ ... Immensely thankful to all those family n friends, fans n followers, acquaintances n unknowns, who expressed their feelings so generously... The warmth n the genuinity ,the sorrow and the concern came across unquestionably, undoubtedly.”
