The Glory Actor Jung Sung Il Divorces Wife After 9 Years Of Marriage; Will Jointly Raise Their Son

Jung Sung Il, known for Netflix K-drama The Glory and the upcoming Made In Korea, has announced divorce from his non-celebrity wife after nine years of marriage. The 45-year old actor's agency revealed
the news on October 14 confirming that even though the former couple decided to part ways mutually, they will continue to support each other in co-parenting their son.Jung Sung Il's agency XYZ Studio stated that after much deliberation, the two moved on and finalised the separation process amicably to go their separate ways.

"After a long period of careful deliberation together, Jung Sung Il and his spouse have decided to bring their marriage to a close. This decision was reached amicably by mutual agreement without assigning fault to either party. Although their legal relationship has been settled, they continue to support each other’s paths, and they are jointly and diligently doing their utmost in raising their child."
Jung's 'movie-like love story'
According to Allkpop, Jung had previously spoken about his "movie-like love story" on a variety show. He revealed of meeting his wife through a mutual friend. They dated her for three years and broke up. They later reunited by chance, and within three months of reconnecting, they decided to get married in 2016. The couple shares one son.
On the work front
Jung has done a lot of work in theater and musical stage. He made his debut in 2002 with the film H. The actor found mainstream popularity in Netflix series The Glory in 2022. He played the character of Ha Do-Young, who's the husband of Park Yeon-Jin (played by Lim Ji-Yeon).In January 2025, he starred in Disney+ series Trigger, and in September, he made his big screen debut as a leading man with the film Murderer Report. His upcoming project is Made In Korea.
