Why Musk Took A Jibe At Signal?

Elon Musk has been aggressively promoting X chat as a method to get secure and encrypted communication between the users. On the other hand, the security experts all over the globe have said that any app claiming to offer encrypted messaging should be open-source in order to establish trust. Apart from this, there will be no way for others to actually know if the app has encrypted messaging or not. Musk's platforms is being dubbed online as X Chat which will be competing with direct messaging apps.
