In an exclusive interview with Zoom, Manan Bharadwaj shared his experience of working with Anurag Kashyap. He said, "Anurag sir is like, bahut hi free hai, freedom bahut dete hain and kisi bhi artist ko freedom bahut chahiye hoti hain ki apne music ko apne hisaab se bana sake and Anurag sir ka sabse pehle yahi rehta hai tu mere liye mat bana, script ke liye mat bana, tu kisi aur ke liye mat bana tu gaane bana sirf apne liye toh yes maine gaane apne liye banaye hai and jitne bhi gaane banaye vo saare ke saare film mein lage hain."(Translation: "Anurag sir is very free; he gives complete freedom. Every artist needs that freedom to make music their way. Anurag’s priority is that you create songs for yourself, not for him, the script, or anyone else. I did, and all the songs I made ended up in the film.")

Comparing Anurag Kashyap and Sandeep Reddy Vanga

Manan further explained how the two directors Anurag Kashyap and Sandeep Reddy Vanga are different yet same from each other, "Anurag and Sandeep sir dono ki alag tangent pe jaake milte hain jaane pe dono same hote hain but usse pehle ka process todha different hain, Sandeep sir ko pata hain ki unko kya chahiye, fir example music kar rahe hain, vo sure ho jate hain fir uske baad usko implement karte hain fir vo music release hota hain, kaisa sound aa raha hain, kitne logon ko gaana chahiye, ye sab cheezein vo dekhte hain which is a very good thing. But on the other hand, Anurag sir, vo apko complete freedom dete hain, complete freedom hai apke pas, apko Jo karna hai vo karo, this is your thing so I'm feeling like

Nischaanchi is my film and as if I'm producing the film aisi feeling aa rahi hain, uske andar bilkul hi ghuske kaam kiya maine."(Translation: "Anurag and Sandeep approach projects differently. Sandeep knows exactly what he wants, finalizes it, implements it, and monitors audience response. Anurag gives complete freedom, making me feel like Nischaanchi is my film, allowing me to fully immerse in the work.")

About Nishaanchi

Nishaanchi is set in 2006 Kanpur and follows the story of twin brothers Babloo and Dabloo (Aaishvary Thackeray), who attempt bank robbery with the former's friend, Rinku (Vedika Pinto). Their plan takes a dramatic turn when Babloo is caught by the police and sentenced to jail for 10 years. On the other hand, his twin brother Dabloo manages to escape right in time with Rinku. The film is based on the events that follow this turning point.
