Times Now
BTS member Jungkook continues to rule the charts. The Golden Maknae has now become the first and only K-pop idol to have maximum singles crossing 500 million streams in Spotify's history. The feat was
registered after his Dreamers crossed the number and become his fifth song to enter the big league. Jungkook, who got discharged from his mandatory military service in June this year, has not produced new music for a while, yet his tracks keep him in the race for the top across charts. On October 19, Spotify's charting revealed that Dreamers supassed 500 million streams and achieved the milestone. Dreamers features Jungkook's performance of the official soundtrack for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. It joined his previous singles Seven (2.6 billion), Standing Next To You (1.31 billion), Left and Right (1.12 billion), and 3D (1.04 billion). Jungkook has now surpassed 9.7 billion cumulative streams on Spotify with his solo tracks alone. Interestingly, Seven (feat. Latto) has become the first song by a Korean artist to exceed 2.5 billion streams, cementing his international global solo success.
