Operation Sindoor

India launched Operation Sindoor early on May 7, under which the armed forces decimated multiple terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir, in retaliation for the deadly Pahalgam attack on April 22. It announced that its military action was focused, measured and non-escalatory.Over the next few days, Pakistani forces retaliated with offensives and Indian forces launched counter-offensives. As a result the conflict went on for nearly four days. After the two sides reached an understanding, the military action was stopped in the evening of May 10.(With agency inputs)
