Karanvir Sharma on Diwali celebration
During a candid interaction with us, Karanvir Sharma explained how he is celebrating Diwali this year mindfully. The actor said, “For me, the message of Diwali is just to purify the house. During Diwali, you have to do many things, like cleanse and clean the house, paint it, discard old things, eliminate negativity, spread happiness and joy, and wish everyone. Therefore, I feel very, very blessed. I believe in an intimate circle. I would rather not have too many people and be available everywhere.” Karanvir also prefers not to attend industry parties. He said, “There will be many industry parties, but I select very few when I go to them. And I'm mindful of the close circle of people I am around. I plan to keep it low-key this year because I want to maintain that atmosphere. I want to keep it special only to my friends, whom I am comfortable with, so Diwali is special in that sense.”
When asked how he balances his work and house chores during Diwali, Karanvir Sharma said, “As you know, Diwali festivities begin way before the actual festival. As kids, we burst many crackers. Now I hardly burst any. Now I just light a shagun ki phulchadi. I love lighting Diyas. I love decorating the house with lights. You can wear some colourful and bright clothes. Whatever you love to do, do it. Have some Diwali sweets. I love all types of decor, including lanterns and mirchi lights. I love to keep all the rooms beautifully decorated and fragrant. I love such things during Diwali.”Also Read : Yaadon Ka Diya: Anupamaa’s Shivam Khajuria Shares Diwali Plans; Reveals Unforgettable Experience – EXCLUSIVE While speaking about his unforgettable experience from childhood during the Diwali celebration, Karanvir Sharma stated, “Basically, I was quite mysterious as a kid. I used to burn those thunderbolt rockets upside down so they’d burst at ground level itself. There were these different hand bombs—Popat bombs, we used to call them. In our colony, we had this little competition, you know, of who could burst the most number of those bombs. Obviously, there were other things too—like who had those massively long 5,000 to 10,000 string bombs. Now, of course, we don’t burn such noisy crackers anymore. Obviously, because of the environment and for the animals. It was just a childhood craze.” Karanvir Sharma also mentioned that he would celebrate Diwali with his friends, but now due to busy schedules, they wish each other on WhatsApp. He misses that. The Zid actor said, “My most memorable Diwali has always been about spending time with family, friends, and the colony I grew up in, where we’d do mischief and enjoy ourselves as kids during the festival. I consider myself fortunate to have been born during a period when my colony friends would unite and celebrate as a unified family. I really miss that time, you know. Nowadays, we just send each other wishes on WhatsApp. We hardly meet or get to see one another because everyone’s busy with their lives. But I truly miss that childhood phase—when we were so carefree and all of us would celebrate Diwali together.” We at Zoom wish our readers a Happy Diwali!
