According to Sameer, Salman was deeply affected by the music, especially the title song, which seemed to echo his real-life heartbreak.

In a recent podcast with journalist Shubhankar Mishra, Sameer Anjaan shared, “Title track unko dhayan main rakhke nahi likhwaya gaya tha. Voh jo likhwaya gaya tha, voh asli jo unki kahani tuti thi Aishwarya Rai se. Voh gaana Himmesh Reshammiya ko bulake, Salman shot dene se pehle gwaate the aur rote the."(Translation: The title track wasn’t originally written with Salman in mind. But it unintentionally captured the pain of his breakup with Aishwarya Rai. Before every shot, Salman would ask Himesh Reshammiya to sing the track for him. Listening to it would make him cry.”)

His wounds were still fresh, and he’d cry on set after hearing it - then go give his shot.”
