Tyagi and Jagdishwar Mishra return to Judge Sundar Lal Tripathi’s court with yet another case. This time, it is double trouble for him as the two infamous yet passionate lawyers arrive with an important matter. Jagdish and Jagdishwar are popularly called Jolly, and this ultimately leads to chaos. Based on farmers’ suicides and land acquisition, Jolly LLB 3 is a courtroom drama with satirical humour. Where conflict begins
Rajaram Solanki, a poor farmer from a small village in Bikaner, called Parsaul, is forced to sell his land to the company owned by Haribhai Khaitan (Gajraj Rao). The emotional burden of losing his only asset leads him to commit suicide. He leaves behind his wife Janki (Seema Biswas) and his widowed daughter-in-law. Sandhya (Amrita Rao), the wife of Jagdish Tyagi (Arshad Warsi), is working for an NGO that supports women from Bikaner who haven’t been paid their dues for the land acquired. She sends Janki Amma to her husband, who asks her to meet Jagdishwar Mishra (Akshay Kumar). He believes in not helping clients without charging his fees. Back home, when Sandhya asks Jolly about Janki Amma, he pretends to be innocent. Jolly notices that Janki Amma has been standing outside his house in torrential rain. Jolly refuses to take her case, citing monetary necessities for the family’s future. When Janki Amma’s story is told, Jolly willingly fights her case in the court. His opponent is the other Jolly.Redemption
Mishra represents Haribhai in court. Greedy for money, he signs up for the rivalry without knowing Khaitan’s evil intentions. At a party, Haribhai hires Jolly for a Rs 50,000 per day salary. When he learns that Haribhai cleared his name in the land acquisition and suicide case by levelling a false extramarital affair allegation against Rajaram and his now-dead daughter-in-law, Jolly decides to disassociate himself from the company. Janki Amma is about to leave for her village. Mishra arrives at the railway station to apologise. Janki Amma says she wants both Jollys to fight her case. In court, they try to outsmart each other, and the hearing goes against them. Eventually, it is their wives to bring them together. On the other hand, Judge Tripathi has lost his wife to a heart attack and he is open to finding love on Love Tender. He plans a Valentine’s Day date with Chanchal (Shilpa Shukla), a cop. Jolly Tyagi and Mishra also take their wives out for lunch. They spot Judge Tripathi and forcefully join him and Chanchal.Courtroom proceedings
Both Jollys try their best to fail Khaitan’s attempt to destroy the village for his Bikaner to Boston project. Including getting camels on a racing track. Vikram (Ram Kapoor), a senior lawyer, comes into the picture to fight the case for Khaitan. During their visit to the village, a conspiracy against Tyagi and Mishra is being executed. A shooter, sent by a village senior, shoots the cop-in-charge, leading to a stampede and violence. Just when Mishra is about to catch hold of the shooter, he is killed. Tyagi and Janki Amma are injured. While Tyagi remains absent, Mishra opens the final hearing on behalf of Janki Amma. When the opposition sends their witness, he uses his wit to make him confess the truth behind the land acquisition scam and Khaitan’s company’s influence. After a monologue, Mishra receives a call and requests the court to allow him 10 minutes as an important witness is about to arrive. Vikram insults Judge Tripathi and his court. He threatens Contempt of Court.Tyagi and Sandhya reach the court with the cop in-charge who was shot during the violence in the village. The clears the villagers of allegations of opening fire. He admits his mistakes in court. Tyagi closes the case, explaining how the marginalised and poor are oppressed by the rich. Standing for farmers and their contribution to mankind, he shocks everyone with his closing statement. Janki Amma wins the case and breaks down for the first time. The women in Parsaul demolish the Bikaner to Boston banner to celebrate victory. Jagdish and Jagdishwar chant ‘Jai Jawan Jai Kisan’ in the village. Jolly LLB 3 ends with behind-the-scenes videos.
