Dubey is making his Bollywood debut with Ramayana: The Introduction by Nitesh Tiwari. He plays the role of Lakshman in the film co-starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi. The actor kept the news a secret until it was officially announced by the makers. In a recent interview, Sargun Mehta, the wife of Ravi, revealed that he never told her about signing Ramayana. Mehta, an actor-producer, further shared that she learnt about it through another person.

On Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, Sargun said, “We don’t really talk about work at home. Just like he doesn’t know what I’m doing until my projects are announced, I also don’t find out about his work until it becomes public. “Someone randomly told me, ‘Congratulations, Ravie is…’ and I said, ‘Sssh. I don’t know what you’re talking about — we’re not allowed to tell each other, so don’t tell me.’ Then I read it somewhere, and thought, ‘He didn’t even tell me, so I can’t even ask!’"ALSO READ: Ramayana: Ranbir Kapoor, Ravi Dubey Wrap Part 1 With Warm Hug, Nitesh Tiwari Gives Emotional Speech She added, “Whenever I asked Ravie where he was going, he’d just say, ‘Kaam pe ja raha hoon,’ without mentioning it was a film shoot. I had no clue what was happening on set. Once or twice, I even asked the driver, ‘Set par mahol kaisa hai?’" Ravi hilariously mentioned, “Woh bhi mere bare mein nahi, Ranbir (Kapoor) ke bare mein."Sharing the title announcement video and first look of Ramayana: The Introduction, Ravi wrote on Instagram, "Hari Anant Hari Katha Anant.
