Idli Kadai Will Stream on Netflix after its theatrical run. It will make it's likely to make its digital debut after four-weeks.

According to box office tracking website Sacnilk, the film which is written, directed, and headlined by Dhanush, earned close to Rs 1.67 crores during the advance booking. The box office website has also revealed that the film has sold more than 1 lakh tickets.

Dhanush Talks About Idli Kadai

At the audio launch, Dhanush spoke about his family's financial situation during his growing up years. He said "As a kid, I always craved idlis every single day, but I couldn’t afford them. Hence, we started collecting flowers from the neighbourhood. The money we get will be based on the amount of flowers we collect every day. My sister, cousins and I would wake up at 4 AM to do this for over two hours."

About Idli Kadai

The film features music by GV Prakash Kumar continuing his collaboration with Dhanush after this year's Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam. The rest of the technical crew of the film includes Kiran Koushik as the cinematographer, Prasanna GK as the editor, Jacki as the art director, and Peter Hein as the stunt choreographer.Dhanush produces the film under his Wunderbar Films banner, along with Aakash Baskaran, who is producing the film under the banner Dawn Pictures. Inban Udhayanidhi, son of Tamil Nadu's Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, will get his first film credit as a distributor.
