Bobby Deol Opens Up About His Downfall and OTT Comeback
In an exclusive interview with Times Now Group Editor-in-Chief Navika Kumar, Bobby Deol candidly spoke about his career journey. "If I look back and Analyse, times were changing, they were evolving when I joined the industry. There was no system of PR or any of that, it was very simple, very basic. You become an actor, people want you, they will take you in, if they find you, if your film does well, they take you for more films. But then when I joined, the PR culture came into play. Then there was this whole thing where people would try to coach the market and get work and that time people used to come and meet you and give you the work but then it became that there were more people getting into the industry. So everyone wanted work they would obviously go to offices and get to know and I didn't do it because no one asked me and I was not used to it. I never understood that."

Bobby Deol Talks About His Second Chance on OTT
Bobby shared how OTT platforms transformed his career. "I think OTT has changed my life, because I was trying to look for work outside my comfort zone. I never got offered roles which were grounded or massy or things like that, then OTT gave me the chance and the first thing I did on OTT was a film called Class Of 83 which came on Netflix and it was with Red Chillies, and I was so happy that I'm getting to do something which people are giving me a chance to showcase what I'm capable of. And people saw that film, they loved my work. And then ek hafte baad Aashram lag gayi, Aashram ek toofan ki tarah aayi mujhe aur bhi pyaar diya, Class Of 83 jo shuruwat thi vo itni dekho nahi lekin Aashram ne sab badal diya. Jab maine Aashram sign ki thi I didn't tell my mum, dad or brother kyuki mujhe malum tha vo bolenge aisa character kyun play kar raha hain, but main chaha raha tha ki main apne out of comfort zone characters karun."(Translation: "A week later, Aashram released. Aashram came like a storm and gave me even more love. Class of 83 was the beginning, it wasn’t watched as much, but Aashram changed everything. When I signed Aashram, I didn’t tell my mum, dad, or brother because I knew they would ask why I was playing such a character, but I wanted to do roles out of my comfort zone.")
