an exclusive interview with Zoom, Bobby Deol revealed that Animal’s viral track Jamal Kudu had no choreographer. He credited director Sandeep Reddy Vanga for shooting it in an interesting and unique way.

Bobby on His Spontaneous Dance

Bobby shared with Zoom, "Nahi, koi choreographer nahi tha, Sandeep said Bobby, you dance, I stared dancing. No no, Bobby you are looking like Bobby Deol. I said this is how Bobby will dance, I have danced differently when the choreographer is there, then Saurabh who plays my brother who is also a very fine actor, i said tu dance kar, main dekhta hoon tu kaise dance karta hain, I'll copy your style, and then pata nahi ekdum se mere dimaag mein kya aaya, kyunki jab hum chote the tab garmi ki chuttiyan, sardi ki chuttiyan punjab jaate the, toh vhan mehfil lag jati thi papa ki Charon taraf, sir pe glass ya bottle rakh ke dance karte the."(Translation: “No, there was no choreographer. Sandeep said, Bobby, you dance. I started dancing. He said, no, no, you’re looking like Bobby Deol. I said, this is how Bobby will dance. I’ve danced differently when a choreographer was there. Then Saurabh, who plays my brother and is a fine actor, I said, you dance, I’ll see how you dance and copy your style. Then suddenly, something came to my mind—when we were kids, during summer and winter vacations in Punjab, mehfils used to be held around my father. People used to dance with a glass or bottle balanced on their heads.”)Bobby added that this childhood memory inspired his steps in the viral track. “So I don’t know, I just felt that and I just did that, and I’m not the first one who has done it actually. But it’s just the way Sandeep as a director shot it and made it something very interesting, and the music he chose for it. It’s the way he shot it.”

He emphasised, “I give most of the credit to the director because they brought my personality into it. Because I love music and I like to dance, I’m not a great dancer but I kind of enjoy it. Look at my papa and bhaiya, they are not great dancers but people love the way they dance. So it’s all about enjoying a moment, it just had to happen. God was kind, I was being blessed.”
