Mumbai Man Calls Out ‘Dupatta Gangs’ For Taking Up ‘Extra Space’ At Garba Events; Internet Agrees
Gone are the days when terms like ‘Dupatta Gangs’ and such were exclusive to robbers and thieves robbing in groups. Confused? Well, it turns out that gangs like these are now becoming a ‘thing’- at one of
the most unexpected places; Navratri celebrations and garba dance events! For those not aware, in the last few years, there have been quite a few instances where people were seen creating ‘border-like areas’ through Dupattas- so that they can avoid mixing with random people during garba events. Seemingly, the practice began as something that groups of women used to do to ensure their safety. However, lately, it has turned into a thing among almost everyone, where the intention is purely NOT TO get mixed with other groups of people. Calling out the same, a Mumbai man shared a video showing the same practice being followed. The clip showed multiple groups of people dancing in circles, inside their ‘Dupatta borders’. The man then called the practice out, highlighting how such groups often end up taking extra space, leaving the rest with no ground to enjoy the event. The man then encouraged others to fight back against such groups and advised such people NOT to attend public events instead. As soon as the clip went viral, netizens began to react. Most agreed with the man’s rant, while some claimed that such things do not happen in Gujarati events. Times Now could not confirm the authenticity of the post.

Now, not only has this become entitled BS, rich ppl kids or even just rich people who pay a lot for passes, need 500 sq m for one person should organize their own garba nights and leave the rest of us alone,” a user said. “I was in Vadodara for 2+ years and was mesmerized by their culture & devotion for this festival. The garba over there is played in concentric circles taking Mataji ka mandir as the actual centre,” added a second person.ALSO READ: ‘Definitely From Bengal’: Viral Video Shows Snake Slithering With Fish In Mouth Amid Kolkata Floods “I swear man!!!
