Jensen Ackles on shocking scene for The Boys Season 5

The actor was part of the fan convention Supernaturals Philadelphia where he talked about The Boys Season 5. Speaking to the fans, he revealed that while filming as Soldier Boy, he walked in full costume and ready to shoot the scene and had to walk back out as he was shook up by what he saw.

He recalled, "I walk into the scene. Soldier Boy. And I turn the corner and I go, ‘Oh my god.’ That wasn’t my line, And I was supposed to stay there. But I hadn’t seen what was going on. We’d blocked it out. We rehearsed it. Things changed when the camera was rolling, and I hadn’t seen it. And I walked in and it was, ‘Dear God,’ and I just walked back out. And they were like, ‘Uh, cut?’ And I was like, ‘I’m sorry. I wasn’t prepared for that. Jensen Ackles to return as Soldier Boy in Vought Rising

Ackles has been busy in 2025, shooting for not only The Boys but also the spinoff prequel show Vought Rising for Amazon Prime Video. The actor joined the popular superhero satire show for Season 3 as Soldier Boy, “the original superhero,” who fought in World War II and became “the first super celebrity and a mainstay of American culture for decades.” He is also Homelander's (Antony Starr) biological father. The prequel series also stars Aya Cash as Stormfront, Mason Dye as Bombsight, Elizabeth Posey as Private Angel, and Will Hochman as Torpedo. Both The Boys and Vought Rising are set to release in 2026.
