Set during the 1997 IMF crisis in South Korea, it captures the spirit of a generation navigating the storms of the economically difficult era. The drama explores the struggles and transformations of youth around the spirit of resilience and hope in uncertain times.Typhoon Family is centered around the growth period of a young CEO and the struggles of his family and employees as they strive to protect his father's small company during the financial chaos.
Cast and characters
Following the success of King The Land alongside Im Yoona, this time Minho plays Kang Tae-Poong, once part of Apgujeong’s so-called Orange Tribe — a group of affluent youth in the 1990s known for their bold fashion and carefree lifestyle. His world is turned upside down when he unexpectedly becomes the CEO of a failing trading Typhoon Company. To take up the new responsibility he is forced to give up luxury and face the realities of survival.Meanwhile, Pachinko actress Minha plays Oh Mi-Seon.
