The government is making Aadhaar updates a whole lot easier. No more standing in endless queues at Aadhaar Seva Kendras just to fix a small typo in your name or update your address. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is working on a brand-new mobile application that will let you update personal details, like your name, date of birth, and address, right from your phone. According to officials, the app is on track to launch before the end of this year. What Exactly Is e-Aadhaar?Think of it as a digital Aadhaar centre in your pocket. With the upcoming e-Aadhaar app, you’ll be able to manage your key Aadhaar details without leaving your home. The app will combine Artificial Intelligence with Face ID technology, ensuring updates are
both smooth and secure. Starting this November, the only time you’ll need to physically visit an Aadhaar enrollment centre is for biometric authentication, things like fingerprint or iris scans. Everything else, from correcting your name to changing your address, can be done with just a few taps.Smarter Document SupportOne of the coolest features is automatic document fetching. Instead of uploading the same ID proof again and again, the app will be able to pull verified data directly from government sources. This includes birth certificates, PAN cards, passports, driving licences, ration cards from the PDS, MNREGA records, and even electricity bills for address verification. Basically, it’s Aadhaar updates minus the paperwork headache.ALSO READ: Amazon Great Indian Festival Sale 2025: Oppo Reno 13 Receives A Massive Price Drop Of Rs 12000, Now Available For Rs...Aadhaar Good Governance PortalAlongside the app, the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) has also rolled out the Aadhaar Good Governance Portal.
