The government is making Aadhaar updates a whole lot easier. No more standing in endless queues at Aadhaar Seva Kendras just to fix a small typo in your name or update your address. The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) is working on a brand-new mobile application that will let you update personal details, like your name, date of birth, and address, right from your phone. Everything else, from correcting your name to changing your address, can be done with just a few taps.Smarter Document SupportOne of the coolest features is automatic document fetching. Instead of uploading the same ID proof again and again, the app will be able to pull verified data directly from government sources. This includes birth certificates, PAN cards, passports, driving licences, ration cards from the PDS, MNREGA records, and even electricity bills for address verification.
