Varalaxmi Sarthkumar, has teamed up with his sister Pooja, to produce a new film titled Saraswathi. Apart from starring in the project and producing it, she will also make her directorial debut with this

upcoming film. She took to social media to share the news.

A note from the actress stated that the name of their production house is Dosa Diaries. The long post read "Dosa diaries-chapter we are deligitted to announce that actress varalaxmi saratikumar and her sister pooja sarathkumar are joining hands as producers to launch their maiden production company-dosa diaries marking a special milestone, varalaxmi sarathkumar will also be making her directorial debut titled saraswathi the film features a power-packed ensemble of artists and technicians. This project marks the beginning of an exciting new journey for the sisters as they step into the world of cinema dosa diaries chapter 1."

A message from the actress read "I’m so excited to be starting my journey as a director .. " The film's cast includes Prakash Raj, Priyamani and Naveen Chandra with music by Thaman.

The technical crew includes cinematography by AM Edwin Sakay dop, Editing by Venkat Raajen Editor and Art Direction by Sudheer Macharla.Varalaxmi Sarthkumar is all set to be seen in a Hollywood project. Directed by, Chandran Rutnam, the film is shot in Sri Lanka and has been titled Rizana A Caged Bird. The film is said to be inspired by a true story. She will share screen space with Jeremy John Irons is an English actor, who has won the Academy Award, a Tony Award, three Primetime Emmy Awards, and two Golden Globe Awards.
