Helmed by Shashank Khaitan, the romantic comedy is set for a big box office clash with Rishab Shetty's Kantara: Chapter 1. Both movies will be released in theatres on October 2, 2025. Ahead of that, the advance booking of these films has commenced. And as per the latest update, SSKTK continues to trail behind Kantara: Chapter 1.

According to Sacnilk, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari has sold over 5,000 tickets so far. The data, without block seats, for Varun and Janhvi's romantic drama is 5,182. Kantara: Chapter 1's Hindi version, on the other hand, has sold 10,503 tickets.Needless to add, Kantara: Chapter 1 (Hindi) is leading the advance booking game at this point. As far as Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is concerned, the film also stars Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf. Meanwhile, at the India Today's conclave, Varun shared his thoughts about Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari and Kantara Chapter 1's big box office clash. "Honestly, while setting the release date, Dharma Productions, who have been making films for so many years, picked October 2. It’s a huge date because it’s both Dussehra and Gandhi Jayanti. So, overall, the business expected on this day will be much bigger than a normal Friday. Almost Rs 70 crore worth of business is available to be done in Hindi alone," he said.The actor further admitted that Kantara: Chapter 1 is a 'big' film and that he loved the first part.
