
Delhi Rains: Delhi woke up to rather pleasant weather on Tuesday, September 30. However, what seemed like some clouds making everything ‘aesthetic’ on Ashtami- turned into a full-fledged downpour that
no one saw coming. Yes, Delhi rains are back, and it's ‘rainy season vibes’ that Delhiites are witnessing currently. Not just Delhi, many of its adjoining areas also witnessed an unexpected downpour. For some, the ‘September rain’ turned into something ‘romantic’, while for others, concerns over Durga Puja pandals and decoration getting damaged quickly seeped in. For those not aware, India is also celebrating one of its most hailed Hindu festivals- Navratri. Coming back to the ‘unforeseen’ rain, as soon as it began, netizens began to share their reactions on the internet. From memes and romanticising of ‘September rain’ to fear of possible waterlogging and concerns for Puja pandals- the internet witnessed all kinds of reactions from netizens. The India Meteorological Department (IMD), on the other hand, had already forecasted rainfall in Delhi and its adjoining areas on Tuesday. The MET department had also issued an alert at 11:03 AM, predicting scattered showers in some parts of Delhi until 2 pm. "Generally cloudy sky. One or two spells of light rain at many places, with moderate rain at a few places accompanied by thunderstorms/lightning and gusty winds," the IMD stated, adding that the weather will remain the same on September 30 and in the morning on October 1, and partly cloudy sky thereafter over Delhi.Coming to Navratri, preparations are currently on as people are all set to celebrate Navami and Dussehra.
