Speaking to Hindustan Times, Kajol reflected on DDLJ's milestone of completing 30 years. The actress said, "We never thought hum ye legacy banake chodenge when we made this film. We just thought we were making a good film. I’m humbled by the fact that so many people and fans have made it so much bigger, they’ve turned it into a tradition."She further revealed how people still talk about Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge when they meet her. "I’ve had people come up to me and say, ‘We fell in love watching DDLJ, and when we had kids, we made them watch it too because we wanted to share that experience.’ They’ve intertwined it with their lives, it’s become a part of their own love stories. That’s not something I can take credit for. Kajol on DDLJ's theatrical run at Maratha Mandir
