A video capturing the chaotic conditions of a train journey in Bihar has gone viral on social media, sparking a wider conversation online. Content creator Ayushi Ranjan, traveling alone in an AC-2 coach
from Patna to her grandparents’ home, described the journey as extremely challenging. In her video, Ranjan explained that shortly after departure, both AC-2 and AC-3 coaches became overcrowded, with passengers ignoring their ticket allocations.“As soon as the train arrived in Patna, those who did not have tickets entered the AC-2 and AC-3 coaches as if there was a mini stampede,” she said. She added that securing a lower berth felt like a rare stroke of luck. “As a female solo traveler, it was as difficult for me to survive inside this train as it was for me to board the train. I don’t abuse people, but I don’t know how many times I have had to raise my voice just to get inside this train.”Ranjan also criticised the condition of the AC-2 coach, noting it did not feel like a premium experience. She concluded with a candid remark: “This might hurt you, but I am still going to say it. Bihariyon ke liye jitne bhi stereotypes bani hai na, usse banane waale bhi hum hai aur sadly usse prove karne waali bhi hum hee hai.” ("This might hurt you, but I am still going to say it. For all the stereotypes that exist about Biharis, we are the ones who create them, and sadly, we are also the ones who prove them true.")
